Illegal vendors have resisted efforts by Harare City Council to move them off the streets to designated sites which were created by council.
In the morning it appeared as if the vendors had surrendered after Harare municipal police pulled down their tents and removed tables but the vendors regrouped and defiantly set up shop.

They complained bitterly that the city wanted them to move to places where there is no infrastructure including ablution facilities.
