ZIMBABWE have lost their second ODIs series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo to South Africa by 61 runs.

South Africa posted 257 runs with Du Plessis top scoring with 55 runs. Prosper Utseya was the pick of the Zimbabwe bowlers as he claimed two wickets for 39 runs.

Despite bowling South Africa out for the first time since the 1999 World Cup and just the third time in their 34 ODI history, Zimbabwe could not avoid a series defeat.

To win, Zimbabwe had to post 258 runs, but the task proved to be beyond them as South Africa’s strong bowling attack restricted Zimbabwe to 196 all-out. Only Sean Williams had a good game at bat as he posted 55 runs.
