adminDindikwa is alleged to have teamed up Bvunzai Magoke (40), Alfance Muzambi and Maxwell Benhura to swindle Percy Toriro.
Magoke yesterday appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei who remanded him out of custody to September 30 on US$20 bail.
He was also ordered to continue residing at his given address until the matter is finalised.
Prosecutor Ms Svodai Kadivirire alleges that sometime in December 2009 Magoke, acting in connivance with Muzambi who has since appeared in court and has an outstanding warrant of arrest, Benhura and Dindikwa who are still at large, hatched a plan to defraud homeseekers. The quartet, the State says, manufactured a fake title deed for stand number 1023, Strathaven, which was in Muzambi’s name.
It is the State’s case that they advertised it in a local newspaper and priced it at US$23 000.
As a result of the advert, Lovemore Chiganda of Guidewall Properties who had been tasked by Toriro to find him a stand took him to Dindikwa and Partners law firm. It is alleged, Magoke processed the sale of the stand and caused the complainant to pay US$23 000 to Dindikwa and Partners after being assured that the sale was above board.
After swindling the complainant, the State says Magoke disappeared only to be arrested more than a year later.
