PREMIERSHIP giants Dynamos have confirmed that they authored the letter suspending coach Genesis Mangombe, but regret that it was leaked.

In a statement released this morning, the PSL giants said the letter was meant for internal processes.

Through that letter, written by the club’s executive, Mangombe was suspended on allegations of match manipulation and forcing players to use juju.

However, details in the letter seem to have created challenges for the PSL giants as it drags in other stakeholders into the controversial allegations against the coach, particularly match fixing.

However, Dynamos maintain that the document was meant for internal communications and that no allegations have been made to rival clubs or PSL.

“This correspondence was strictly confidential and intended solely for internal use while the club’s disciplinary and investigative processes are underway,” reads Dynamos’ statement dated June 26, 2026, and signed by club chair Vincent Chawonza.

“At this stage, Dynamos FC categorically states that based on the preliminary findings and information currently available, no allegations have been made against any other PSL, official, or external individual.

“No other PSL clubs are implicated in these allegations and any assertions to the contrary are false, misleading, and without foundation.”

Dynamos said the coach’s suspension letter alleges that match manipulation was effected through the deliberate deployment of players in unsuitable positions.

As a result, it weakened the team’s competitive performance.

“References to specific fixtures and opposing clubs were included solely because those matches form part of the allegations under investigation and should not be interpreted as implicating any opposing team or its officials,” reads the statement.

“Dynamos reassure the PSL, sponsors, supporters and all stakeholders that there is no evidence suggesting that the integrity of the league has been compromised.

“This matter remains an isolated internal issue which the club is treating with the utmost seriousness and professionalism.

“In the interest of preserving the integrity of the ongoing process, the club will not issue any further comments on this matter until the internal investigation has been concluded.”
