NTABAZINDUNA Prison coach Agent Sawu is confident his charges will deliver in today’s tie against Plumtree Chiefs at Ntabazinduna in the Zifa Southern Region Division One soccer league.
Ntabazinduna have won one and drawn three of their four games.
Their win came in the opening match of the season.
Former Zimbabwe international striker Sawu said he expects a positive result from his team since they are playing at home.
“They are currently the log leaders and we will be playing at home. Obviously we will try and take advantage,” said Sawu who was the spearhead of the Dream Team attack.
“Like I said, we are at home and I expect them to collect maximum points. I can say we started on a right footing, we haven’t lost a game, so we are playing well.”
Sawu wants his team to play as a unit.
“We believe in team work so whoever is selected for the day should play his part,” said Sawu.
Plumtree Chiefs currently lead the race and will be out to prove that they deserve their place at the top.
Coach Thulani Sibanda said he expects a tough duel.
“It’s going to be a very tough game, they have been in the league for quite some time and they have an experience coach and experienced players.
“We will just stick to what we have been doing in training maybe we will get something out of it,” said Sibanda.
Sibanda said they will also be missing one of their key players, Gracious Mleya, due to injury.
“We will be missing Gracious Mleya who scored our only goal in the last game, he has an injury. He is a key member of the team but we will look at possible replacements.
“They have got a good crop. This year we are using youngsters so we will try to psyche them up,” said Sibanda.
The Plumtree Chiefs coach said he appreciates the way their campaign has gone so far.
In the other fixtures, Technosphere meets Quelaton at Nust in what should be a tough duel.
Both teams won their games last week and fireworks are expected in this tie. Hwange Juniors have a date against ZPC Hwange in Hwange and Tsholotsho lock horns with Elephant FC at Brad Barracks in the other games featuring top teams.
