Various areas of the country have received significant amounts of rainfall, with Kadoma recording 67 mm of rainfall.

Lupane, Harare and Victoria Falls each recorded 31 mm while Nkayi and Gokwe recorded 17 mm and 15 mm respectively.

The Meteorological Services Department said Matabeleland North and Mashonaland Provinves are set to experience partly cloudy and mild conditions this morning, accompanied by light rain and showers.

The department said it will become cloudy and warm in the afternoon, with scattered thunderstorms expected.

“Areas such as Masvingo, Matabeleland South, Midlands, Bulawayo Metropolitan, and Manicaland will be briefly cloudy and mild in the morning, transitioning to partly cloudy and warm conditions by the afternoon,” the department indicated.

The department attributed the shift in weather patterns to moisture drifting into the country from Zambia and Botswana, which has already resulted in scattered thunderstorms over the northern regions. “As the day progresses, the public is advised to remain vigilant. Residents are urged to stay warm and exercise caution, especially when it comes to crossing flooded
