GOSPEL rapper, Jason Gwanzura, is set to release his new single titled Faith on February 28.

Jason, the son of gospel star Pastor G, said he was also following in the footsteps of his dad. The single will be featuring other amazing gospel artists, whose names are yet to be unveiled, as a surprise to his fans. The 20-year-old is making an impression among the younger generation. Currently, he is also working on establishing a new Christian record label called “InHisImage” co-founded alongside Alfred Tembo, before the year ends.

In an interview with H-Metro, Jason said:

“My ultimate goal in my music is to represent Christ through my life journey – be it pain, heartbreak, joy and the truth of scripture.

“I simply want to make music that will touch people the same way music touched me when I wasn’t in the best space.

“Being an artist and seeing fellow artists accomplishing these goals has been a major inspiration to me, “he said.

Like any other artist, Jason faced several setbacks in the industry but his zeal for music kept him going.

“Nothing comes easy in life and I speak for most musicians when I say that a lack of sufficient resources gets in the way of pushing the craft. God is truly faithful. He has been opening doors for me, some I hadn’t even prayed for,” he added.

Jason is currently working on an extended playlist consisting of five tracks.  He hopes to work with other gospel artists like Rumbidzai Mundeta, Kuda Rice, Janet Manyowa, Courtney Antipas and Fungai Nengare this year.
