10:31 He says Brig Gen Ndabambi received his training in Mozambique at Tembwe camp in 1976 and was later deployed to the battlefront in Manica Province.
During the ceasefire period, Cde Ndabambi was part of the group tasked with safeguarding all ZANLA Forces’ materials and documents in Mozambique. In 1981, he returned to Zimbabwe and was subsequently attested into the Zimbabwe National Army on 8 September as a Second Lieutenant. He was posted to 53 Infantry Battalion. In 1982, he was posted to the Military Intelligence Directorate. In June 1983, he was appointed to the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.
Due to his dedication, selfless and exemplary service to the nation, Bri Gen Ndabambi was awarded various medals such as Liberation Medal, Independence Medal, Ten Year’s Service Medal, Long Exemplary Service Medal, Mozambique Campaign Medal and DRC Campaign Medal among others.
Acting President Chiwenga has called on the nation to rally behind President Mnangagwa’s dedication to transform and modernise the country.
He challenges everyone to keep the economic and revolutionary flame alive through honesty and hard work.
Acting President Chiwenga says Government is working on promoting the use of the ZiG currency and will keep monitoring the financial exchange markets to avoid arbitrage. He says we should all love our currency.
He congratulates President Mnangagwa for hosting successfully the SADC Summit and assuming the SADC Chairmanship.
