While the Kalawa Homecoming has somewhat taken a “lite” stance, local artiste Mzoe 7 and Zim dancehall artiste Tocky Vibes will on the same night rival the low key show with their own.
Youths who will fail to access Cosmopolitan Night Club for the Homecoming gig are the target market for this show at The Vista Night Club.
“I know a lot of young party rockers will not make it to Cosmo so they do not have to worry because Tocky and I will be having a consolation party at Bulawayo’s finest spot which is The Vista,” said Mzoe7.
Mzoe7 who clashed with ExQ’s All Star party and managed to fill up the club is likely to do the same as the muso has become popular with many young party lovers in the city.
Many young people who would have probably gone to the Kalawa Homecoming but due to affordability and distance will resort to Mzoe7.
“This was a tactical move since we are aware that with the current economic situation young people will have to resort to our party,” he said.
The Bulawayo-based artiste believes December is more than Kalawa and people can have fun beyond Kalawa.
“I believe that people should not bank on one particular event so we shouldn’t wait for South African artistes to come and entertain us when we can entertain our own people,” said Mzoe7.
The Vista has been popular with a lot of Bulawayo youths hence it won’t be the first time they fill it up on the 27th of December.
