Local folk tale for Dubai Expo

The Dubai 2020 Expo has released its first edition of the new digital book called “Children’s tales from around the world”.

Of particular importance is the participation of Zimbabwe in this prestigious global exercise, and the inclusion of local folklore.

Government yesterday said this was the first time that a folk tale from Zimbabwe had been exhibited on such a platform.

“It is indeed an achievement and a source of great pride to the people of Zimbabwe. The story was illustrated by Zimbabwe’s very own Kuda Makurumure of Cranium creative laboratories and was made possible through the Commissioner General’s office,” said Government in a statement.

The book, which is published in celebration of International Literacy Day, is available for free on the Expo 2020 website.
