MUSICIANS Sandra Ndebele, Victor Kunonga, Sanii Makhalima and Basil Mafu will use their musical experience to find singers and instrumentalists for a new gospel group – Cross Motion – on Saturday.
The auditions that will be held at Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo are open to those aged between 18 and 35.
The quintet is looking for 30 male and female musicians that will form a group in the mould of South Africa’s Joyous Celebration.
Nkosiyethu Wenha, Cross Motion’s sales and marketing executive, said they were looking for talented, passionate musicians.
“Members of Cross Motion shall be born again Christians with a gift of music, belonging to any denomination,” said Wenha.
“The group’s mandate will not only be about uplifting Christians, but to also entertain and convict the non-believers all for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
“Cross Motion is motivated to carry a message of unity, hope, peace and the love of God with resounding melodious vocal authority.”
He said they partnered Makhalima, Ndebele, Kunonga and Mafu because of their vast experience in the music industry adding that they wanted to use the group to bring people into salvation through song and dance.
The spokesperson said each member of the group when selected, would be expected to uphold and exhibit a Christ like character on and off the stage.
“We believe that we are not only ambassadors of the Kingdom of God through the music we sing, but also through the lives that we lead.”
