Locked up inside darkness . . . searching for a key never to be found

Ropafadzo Mwaingei

Suffering from side effects

One would ask what happened

It’s due to drug and substance abuse

For a little pleasure, I drank, hoping to find peace

I smoked, but little did I know that cocaine and marijuana would lead me into this drain.

Liver cirrhosis and lung cancer are now my buddies

Is this what our forefathers fought for during First and Second Chimurengas?

It’s a big NO

Let’s quit drugs and respect all those who lost their lives during the liberation war.
