CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe has praised the impressive start to the season by utility player Joseph Tulani.
The Green Machine have been one of the early pacesetters in the championship race.
Their performance is in stark contrast to the challenges which stalked their campaign last year in which they even flirted with relegation.
They share the early leadership with the resurgent Highlanders, who lead the race, by virtue of a superior goal difference.
After the Derby Disappointment, in which they lost a match the odds expected them to win, the Green Machine’s response was swift as they edged Yadah 1-0 on Saturday.
Given that the Miracle Boys were the better side on the day, Chitembwe’s men showed a lot of character and cashed in three points courtesy of an own goal.
Chitembwe feels one of their key weapons has been the versatility of Tulani.
He has been playing different roles, including as a right back, midfielder and even a false striker.
“His versatility shows how important he is to the team,” said Chitembwe.
“We are talking of a player who is prepared to give you solutions everywhere on the pitch.
“That player for me is the most valuable player in football.
“He can play almost all positions and that all goes to show how important he is. He is prepared to play in each and every position.
“So, personally as a coach, I have worked with so many different players but I am yet to work with one like Tulani.
“I have worked with great players but they will all give you limited solutions but he is a guy who can give you a whole lot of solutions.”
