LUVEVE suburb woke up to horror on Tuesday morning after two men, believed to be relatives, were brutally stabbed outside Kidza Nightclub in a bloody brawl that left residents in shock.
One of the victims reportedly collapsed and died just a few metres from the crime scene, while the other succumbed to his injuries at Mpilo Central Hospital.
When B-Metro visited the scene, a trail of blood snaked from a money exchange booth to the nightclub entrance, grim evidence of the violence that erupted in the dead of night. Two blood-stained bricks lay nearby, believed to have been used in the attack.

“I heard commotion around 1am but didn’t think much of it because fights are common when people leave the nightclub,” said resident Enock Mpofu. “But this time it was different. People were screaming and when I came out, one man was lying motionless on the ground.”
Kidza Nightclub owner, Tapiwanashe Mapfumo, said CCTV footage captured the chilling moments leading to the killings.
“The footage shows a group of men arguing before one fell down after being attacked,” he said. “The other was rushed to hospital by friends in his car, but sadly didn’t make it. We’ve handed over the footage to police.”
The area, notorious for attracting illegal gold miners, has reportedly become a hotspot for violent confrontations.
Bulawayo deputy police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thandekile Ndlovu confirmed the incident but said details were still being gathered.
Police are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
This is a developing story.
