Orchestra Mberikwazvo backing vocalist, Barnabas Mapandipota, will now be buried in Kadoma on Wednesday after the family agreed to change the place of interment on Tuesday.

Initially, he was supposed to be buried in Chiremwaremwa Village, Bikita, in Masvingo, but the family has now chosen Kadoma, where he was raised.

“Barna will no longer be buried in Bikita, as was initially planned; we have settled on Kadoma. My father was buried there and we want to make it a family shrine,” said family spokesperson and Barna’s elder brother, Fastmove Mandipota.

Barna died over the weekend after a short illness.
