SUNGURA maestro Alick Macheso and Enzo Ishall will headline the 63rd edition of the Castle Tankard after party at Borrowdale Race Course on May 6.
The duo will be supported by Etherton B, DJ Naida, Andile Brown and DJ Rush, among other acts.
For Macheso, the event will act as his homecoming show after his tour of Botswana and South Africa.
Enzo Ishall will also be returning from his maiden appearance at the Victoria Falls Carnival.
The event, which also coincides with a horse racing show, remains one of the most prestigious shows in the country.
“All preparations for the day are well underway, and the whole country is invited to come and enjoy this day with us.
“Cold and refreshing beer, braai and lots of entertainment is lined up for our loyal consumers and horse racing enthusiasts as they look on and enjoy the day with their friends,” said Delta Corporation general manager, corporate affairs, Patricia Murambinda.
The event, which is co-hosted by the Mashonaland Turf Club, will see the winning horse and rider walking away with US$50 000.
Last year, the race was won by four-year-old True Beauty.
Yesterday, the final acceptance ceremony was held where the participating horses were confirmed.
Over the years, the horse racing show has managed to command interest and participation from across the region.
