ALICK Macheso saluted fans for their loyalty and faith in him during a show held at Sanganai Inn last Friday.
The Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman, who honed his skills under the tutelage of Shepherd Chinyani in the 1980s, likened his show to a homecoming party.
Sanganai Inn is close to Dzivaresekwa where Macheso was taught to play electric guitars by Chinyani.
“I’m happy to be back here performing in front of this beautiful crowd. I once stayed in Dzivaresekwa and we used to come here at Sanganai Inn to have fun with my friends.
“As you know, Sanganai Inn is close to DZ and it feels good to be back home entertaining my fans who are very loyal and have been there for me,” he said.
Macheso said he treated the stage like the CEO’s office.
“Each time that I appear on stage, I mean business because that is where my bread is baked.
“I am sustaining my family through music and everything happens here on stage where we really mean business,” he said.
Macheso thrilled fans by playing both old and new songs off his album Tinosvitswa Nashe.
