Sungura giant Alick Macheso has suspended performances in Zimbabwe until his album launch.

Macheso is set to launch a new album on August 2 at Alex Sports Club in Harare.

H-Metro gathered that Macheso is turning down bookings and will not perform locally until the much-awaited album launch.

His publicist Tich Makahamadze confirmed the development, which he said is meant to give them time to perfect the forthcoming album.

“Yes, we will not perform in Zimbabwe until our album launch.

“Our next show in Zimbabwe is on August 2, which is our album launch at Alex Sports Club in Harare,” said Makahamadze.

Macheso will only perform in South Africa at a festival, which will also feature prodigy, Mark Ngwazi.
