Madlela Sikhobokhobo has paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran actress Jesesi Mungoshi, celebrating her remarkable legacy in the film industry spanning more than four decades. The multi-talented performer shared a touching moment on social media with Mungoshi behind the scenes of the upcoming film Sizolobola, being shot in Seke District, Mashonaland East.

Under production, Sizolobola promises to be a compelling addition to local television, featuring a strong cast that includes Madam Boss, Sipho ‘Mercent’ Nyathi, and La Dee, among others.
Madlela did not hold back his admiration, revealing that Mungoshi was one of the key figures who inspired his journey into acting. He recalled watching her as a young boy and being captivated by her unforgettable role in the internationally acclaimed film Neria.
“Sometimes you find yourself questioning whether you’re dreaming or truly living the moment. Meeting the legendary umama uJesesi Mungoshi is something I prayed for. She is one of the people who shaped my passion for acting. Her work speaks volumes; she deserves all the recognition,” said Madlela.
This is not the first time the two have shared the screen. They previously worked together on the 2020 drama Shaina, building a professional bond that has now evolved into something deeper and more meaningful.
Graciously receiving the tribute, Mungoshi reflected on her long-standing career and expressed joy at working alongside Madlela once again.
“I was only 30 when I did Neria, and today, at 72, I’m still acting with pride. Working with Madlela is always exciting. He is like a son to me. We connected in Shaina, and now fate has brought us together again for Sizolobola,” said Mungoshi.
