CONTROVERSIAL self-styled prophet, Talent Madungwe, hired a tenant and give him a room to stay without the knowledge of his landlady Gogo Mangena.
She told H-Metro she only learnt about the tenant, who has been identified as Baba Kisha, when she clashed with Madungwe over electricity bills.
“Prophet Madungwe secretly accommodated another tenant, without consulting me,” said Gogo Mangena.
“I cannot fight with Prophet Madungwe, but what he did is totally unacceptable.
“I came to know about this Baba Kisha after he came to my house complaining that Madungwe had taken money from him claiming to pay electricity bills.
“How Baba Kisha got my number, I do not know, and he was never introduced to me.
“I do not want Madungwe’s tenant at my house.”
Gogo Mangena added:
“I am told that Baba Kisha has been staying in one of my rooms for the past three weeks.
“Apa haana mudzimai, hunzi mudzimai anodzidzisa kumusha.
“He is not good at all.
“As for evicting Prophet Madungwe, I will wait for his promises, which he is feeding me daily, to see if they will come true.
“Ipapa ndapedzisira kumuwona achienda kwaanonamatira.”
Gogo Mangena said she was shocked to receive calls from several people including her relatives abroad enquiring about the eviction.
“Someone posted on social media claiming that I have evicted Madungwe.
“Madungwe has better furniture than what was posted on social media.
“I never evicted him as what is being claimed.”
Baba Kisha confirmed he clashed with Prophet Madungwe.
“Prophet Madungwe asked me to pay for electricity bills and the Harpic we use together and I gave him the money.
“He claimed that we had lost power due to non-payment.
“Ndazonzwa vepa next door vachiridza radio ndikadzoka ndikanetsana naye kuti wadya mari yangu magetsi ariko.
“He is the one who accommodated me here in one room.
“I reported my case to the landlady because I felt duped by Madungwe and that is how Gogo came to know about me.”
Prophet Madungwe confirmed accommodating Baba Kisha.
“There is a driver I know, he is the one who narrated Baba Kisha’s challenges.
“I phoned Gogo Mangena, since she was not at home, and we failed to connect.
“I made my decision and accommodated Baba Kisha.
“As for electricity bill payment, Baba Kisha became angry with me after hearing music from the radio of our neighbours.
“He didn’t know that some have solar systems but, as for that neighbour, his radio was using batteries.”
He added:
“Social media is awash with false news of eviction.
“I was never evicted, I am still at Gogo Mangena’s house waiting for some promises of money to settle my rentals.
“Allow me to thank H-Metro for publishing verified information.”
