Madziro launches Old Skool Saturdays

THE tranquil gochi-gochi hide-out paMadziro has started old skool Saturdays to liven up the place. Spokesperson for the open-air joint Blessing Madziro said they realised the city was now starved of open-air spots after the demise of Chapter One and Pavilion.

The official launch of the Old Skool Saturdays is tomorrow (Saturday) at 12pm.

There will be a rotation of disc jockeys from Tuff Nuff Sound owned by popular old school crooner Ranga-T, better known as the Godfather, and his side-kick Candy-Man against DJs from Lion Sound, Terminator and Hollies-B.

“We just want to spice up the entertainment scene in Mutare, especially in the open-air circles.

“Madziro is a social resort out of town and an ideal venue for family outings, which is why the Old Skool Saturdays will start midday every Saturday,” said the spokesperson.

Situated 10km out of town along the Mutare-Masvingo highway, the Madziro hide-out has for years been
popular for braaing but mostly had its loyal, conservative patrons.
