AWARD-WINNING gospel musician, Sabastian Magacha, is set to release his seventh album titled ‘‘I Am Favoured’’ at the Harare International Conference Centre on August 20.
The album launch coincides with his 20th anniversary in the game.
Fellow musicians — Jah Prayzah, Mathias Mhere, Dorcas Moyo, Mambo Dhuterere, Zimpraise, Mudiwa Hood and Gemma Griffiths — will provide cover at the event.
“The album is titled ‘I am Favoured’ which has 13 tracks, including the special song dedicated to my daughter Imani.
“This album has collaborations with Gemma Griffiths on the song called Nzira and Dira Moto, which I collaborated with a Kenyan musician, Guardian Angel.
“All the singles that I have released, which include those I did alongside Herman, Madam Boss and Avondale Primary School, have been included in this album.
“DJ Ola 7 will be the host of the event as well as DJ Gospel Unlocked,” he said.
Magacha, who invited fellow musicians to be part of the line-up, said he believes in synergies.
“As artists, we rely on shows due to piracy where album sales count for nothing.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, it was a tough time and I appeal to the public to come and gather as Christians to praise God.
“I also believe in unity in our industry because we are brothers and sisters who are aiming to fight the devil not fighting each other,” said Magacha.
