Magalane hailed for dream run

WALLACE Magalene is being hailed for being an inspirational figure at FC Platinum in the last eight games.

The ‘keeper has been behind the sticks in the eight unbeaten games after he took over from first-choice goalkeeper, Petros Mhari, who is out because of an injury.

Magalene has been commanding the backline in the first-choice goalkeeper’s absence.

FC Platinum goalkeepers’ coach, Tembo Chuma, said he was happy with the ‘keepers’ performance. “I am pleased with the performance of my goalies, both in training and on match days, they really push.

“Now, we have eight consecutive clean sheets and it’s my first time having this joy as a coach.

“We hope for more clean sheets,” he said.

Platinum host ZPC Kariba at Mandava on Matchday 22 of the Castle Premier League on Saturday. They drew 1-1 in their first leg encounter.
