Maximin has a big parking problem

NEWCASTLE. – Allan Saint-Maximin has been warned not even the best attacker in the world can park his Ferrari wherever he wants.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe will be laying down the law to the French flier after discovering he keeps leaving his supercar right outside the front door to Toon’s training ground.

Despite ‘no parking’ signs, the maverick winger is a repeat offender.

Saint-Maximin is the one Newcastle attacker capable of conjuring a moment of magic.

And while the 25-year-old has only scored 11 Premier League goals in three -seasons, Howe is fully expecting fireworks this term.

On the parking issue, Howe said: “That’s something that we will be addressing with him.

“My big message to him at the end of last season was, physically, we need to try to get more.

“That’s in every area of his game — more forward runs, getting in more goalscoring positions.

“I wouldn’t say there’s a better player one-on-one from an attacking perspective than Maxi in world football.

“We need to get him the ball in better areas but the expectation of Maxi… he’s got to be able to deliver the physical effort I want from the team.

“There’s been a lot of individual work towards that and I’m expecting a great season.”

Saint-Maximin has been off the boil so far in pre-season games but Howe added: “He’s in a really good place.

“He looks happy. He’s trained well. He’s delivered everything we’ve asked him to deliver.

“We’ve pushed him physically and he has responded.” – The Sun
