With Prophet Magaya you get a second chance!
At least that is what one might get as an answer from those that have been allegedly delivered from ailments such as mental problems and also bought houses for by PropheticA Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) founder Prophet Walter Magaya.
Speaking to B-Metro after ministering to PHD prayer partners gathered at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair on Saturday in Bulawayo, Prophet Magaya challenged his critics saying they were against his extraordinary gesture because they were determined to see the delivered people persistently suffering.
He said people should have faith in God as the power of God was upon him to restore sight to the blind, release those in captivity and proclaim good news to the poor.
His statements came as it was claimed that the deliverances and the house gifts he extended to a Rusape man Garikayi Zindi who was tormented by a demon of insanity for 17 years and a Bulawayo man Tawanda Kasonde who endured many years of vagrancy and had been feeding from bins were a compensation for being deployed in the streets to feign miracles.
a?As Christians we know that we have critics who are busy castigating our philanthropic gesture. When they hear that I am delivering people who are suffering from mental illnesses and assisting them with shelter they start saying something is wrong. My ministry has been doing this for a long time a assisting the underprivileged.
a?It did not start with Garikayi or Kasonde but this is something I have been doing for a long time. What changed now is the kind of gifts we are assisting the underprivileged with. Because it is now houses and people begin to question why?A The houses are part of the healing process and we want them (Garikayi and Kasonde) to get back on their feet,a? he said.
Prophet Magaya who was ministering on Godas grace towards human life raised faith of his ministry partners when he delivered Kasonde, a well-known vagrant in Bulawayo who was brought by one of the prayer partners to see if the prophet was to repeat what he did for a Rusape man.
For Prophet Magaya it was a temptation too difficult to ignore when he prayed for Kasonde. He delivered him and promised to restore him to normalcy by buying him his own house.
The delivered Kasonde was also afforded the opportunity to have dinner with Prophet Magaya at a local hotel where he is now staying until he receives his gift of a house.
Prophet Magaya also said his ministry was opening satellite centres furnished with big screens in all the countryas cities and towns where people would gather following live proceedings of his services from the ministryas headquarters in Waterfalls, Harare.
Meanwhile, in an interview, Kasonde who is from Mhondoro and once lived in Harare where he worked as a security guard said he walked from Harare to Bulawayo.
a?I thank Prophet Magaya for delivering me. He came to my rescue after I had endured many years of sleeping in the streets and feeding from the bins. I was staying near Harare road before I moved to ZITF.
a?I was surprised when a man came to my base and started talking to me saying I should accompany him to get food. I was shocked when he led me inside the hall where he instructed me to sit on the chair until Prophet Magaya came and prayed for me. I could not understand what was happening until people who took me to the hotel to meet Prophet Magaya explained,a? said Kasonde.
