Harare regional magistrate, Mrs Estere Chivasa, has dismissed an application by Prophet Walter Magaya, founder of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries, to have his case referred to the Constitutional Court.

The ruling was made on the grounds of lack of merit.

Magaya is facing four charges of rape, allegedly involving four congregants from his ministry.

He is scheduled to return to court tomorrow as the case proceeds.
