Magaya’s ZIFA elections challenge urgent, rules High Court

Online Reporter
Justice Tawanda Chitapi has ruled that prophet Walter Magaya’s challenge of the ZIFA elections is an urgent matter and it will be heard in the High Court on Friday.
Magaya is one of five ZIFA presidential aspirants who were disqualified by the Electoral Committee for having failed the association’s Ethics and integrity test.
He is now seeking an interdict to stop the staging of the elections slated for January 25.
ZIFA’s Normalisation Committee chairperson Lincoln Mutasa was also part of the proceedings in Justice Chitapi’s chambers.
