Mahachi on Golden Arrows move

Kudakwashe Mahachi says he is hungry to play football and feels Golden Arrows fit his style perfectly.

The 22-year-old Zimbabwean joined the KZN club last month after being deemed surplus to requirements at Mamelodi Sundowns.

He made an immediate impact for his new club in the 1-0 Telkom Knockout win against Ajax Cape Town <http://www.kickoff.com/match-report/11946/golden-arrows-ajax-cape-town-telkom-knockout-last-16>, but admits he needs to improve his match-fitness.

“I came here to enjoy football; Arrows are a good team and I’m enjoying it,” Mahachi tells KickOff.com.

“As you saw in my first game I need to work on my fitness as I have not been playing. I need to step up a little bit and I think this team is good for me.

“I still have a contract with Sundowns, so for now I came here to enjoy myself and the rest will follow. I don’t want to talk about what happened there; I came here to enjoy football.”

Arrows face defending champions SuperSport United in the next round of the TKO, while their next League game is against Bloemfontein Celtic on October 17. – KICKOFF
