Mahwindo challenges ZiM dancehall artists

SOCIALITE Wanisai “Mahwindo” Mutandwa has urged Zimdancehall artists to have a proper management team.

Mahwindo said this on Wednesday at a luncheon held at Garwe Restaurant ahead of Seh Calaz’s album launch.

The socialite also argued female promotors to come out to help uplift the Zimdancehall flag.

“My prayer is for the Zimdancehall artists to have proper management. They have to stop the habit of making their friends part of their management team,” she said.

Mahwindo urged the artists to take a leaf from Winky D, who has sound management.

“I am just urging them to have educated managers like Winky D’s manager, Jonathan Banda.

“Banda is educated; he is someone who understands terms and conditions of a contract.

“Most artists don’t know how to read, they just sign. They don’t even understand the language in a contract.

“When they go abroad to perform, most of them travel without bookings for accommodation.

“They should get proper management and have medical and funeral cover,” she said.
