EVENTS management guru, Wanisayi “Mahwindo” Mutanda, along with comedienne Mai TT, are set to add colour at the 12th Chipaz Bhora Tournament on Saturday, event organisers say.
The charity event takes place at DZ Stadium where a football match, pitting the Zim dancehall artists against Sungura musicians, will be played.
Three more games will be played before the main match. A number of people will also have an opportunity to meet Mahwindo in person, along with other socialites.
Mai TT, Lorriane Guyo, Madam Boss and Anna “Chibaby” Honde are some of the socialites set to grace the event.
“Being a family fun day, we want fans to meet some of the top celebrities, the people they follow on social media. It will be a special moment for fans to have selfies with some of the celebrities and influential figures like Mahwindo.
“Sister Mahwindo is one of the powerful women in showbiz who have supported me from day one and I will always salute her,” said Partson Chimbodza, the event organiser.

Chipaz also hailed Mahwindo for representing the girl child with pride.
“In life there are people we need to give flowers to while they are still alive and one of them is Mahwindo. We all know her potential and what she can do and, therefore, she deserves to be honoured as she discharges her duties.”
As the countdown to the 12th Chipaz Bhora Tournament reaches its fever pitch, the Sungura and Zim dancehall teams have been training ahead of the match. The Zim dancehall team have been holding sessions at Glamis Stadium while their Sungura counterparts used Old Hararians Sports Club. Chipaz said the move to hold the sessions at different venues was part of the resolution made by the two teams.
“We have been holding this event annually but this year’s edition promises fireworks considering that it also has musicians who are good at playing soccer,” he said.
Zimpapers FC will take on Christ Embassy FC in the opening game of the tournament.
Afterwards, UZ Legends are set to take on Drunkards FC. After the soccer matches, an all-night musical gala will be held at the same venue.
HKD boss, Freeman, who bagged two awards at this year’s National Arts Merit Awards, will headline the show.
Remington Gold, Bike Delivery, Luxe interior, Autohitch Motors and Primus Energy are some of the sponsors behind the event.
