This edition of the Shutdown coincides with the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), which will run from 22 to 26 April.
The much anticipated gig unofficially acts as the end of the exhibition party as it usually attracts Bulawayo residents as well as thousands of investors at ZITF from all over the country and foreign exhibitors.
Other notable artistes who have been revealed as part of the shutdown are Uncool MC, Ricky as well as DJ Tira.
Jordan Dube who is one of the organisers of the event said they have so far managed to secure bookings for the artistes who have been unveiled. They are still pursuing agreements with some of AmaPiano great artistes as well as local acts.

“We have started preparing for the ninth edition of the Bulawayo Shutdown party, which will be held on 26 April. The venue will be announced in due course. We have managed to secure bookings for Major League DJz as well as DJ Maphorisa.
When DJ Tira was around in Bulawayo, in January, we managed to approach him and he showed enthusiasm to be part of the event and we then settled to book him also.
“We are still chasing other artistes both local and those from South Africa and we will be unveiling them very soon. We are working tirelessly to ensure that every detail is meticulously planned, and we are confident that this will be a show to remember.

Despite the preparations on the infant stage, the response from the public has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful for the support,” said Dube.
For the past seven years, the Bulawayo Shutdown party has become a cornerstone of the city’s entertainment scene, captivating audiences with electrifying performances and unforgettable experiences.
To ensure fans fun, the organisers of the event kindly asked revellers to suggest names of artistes they wish to see performing at the event so they can be pursued and possibly added on the line-up of performers. The exercise can be done on the Harris Entertainment social media pages.
