AS winter is fast approaching, some artistes have taken it upon themselves to do a concert that will benefit the less privileged in the community. Eveline High School and other high schools with the help of some artistes in the city will be hosting the Make a Difference winter concert on 3 June.
In an interview, one of the organisers of the show Tawanda Denga popularly known as T1NDA said the concert was planned with the thought that there are some people in the community who needed help during this winter season. He said it was their obligation as artistes to give back to the community.
“As young and upcoming artistes, we want to make that difference in the community. This concert will help us achieve our goal.
All funds and warm clothing raised during this show will be donated to the less privileged. I feel we can use our art to do good to societies that we come from,” he said.
Tawanda said the schools will be responsible for distributing the funds and the clothes. Chrisitian Brothers College (CBC) has already started the initiative and a lot of people have been supportive.
The concert will feature local artistes such as Luminous, Prology, Salt ‘n’ Light, Gifford dream team, Kheta and Scarlet pain, among others.
