ZIMBABWE’s sprint sensation Ngoni Makusha is set to light up the track today as he spearheads Team Zim’s assault at the FNB Golden Grand Prix in Gaborone, Botswana.
Coach Phakamile Lisimati says all systems are go:
“Makusha will be the first on the track when he runs the open 100m event.”

Makusha is scheduled to explode out the blocks at 3:23 PM, with the relay showdowns coming later at 5 PM .
The high-stakes event could seal Zimbabwe’s place at the World Relays in Guazhong, China next month. The team is ranked 28th globally, and only the top 32 will make the cut.

Unless five other nations miraculously post better times before the deadline tomorrow, Zimbabwe’s ticket to China is virtually booked!
