PITSO Mosimane has heaped praise on Cuthbert Malajila, saying the Zimbabwean “came to their rescue” on Sunday.
The striker scored a brace as the Brazilians bounced back from their midweek defeat to Orlando Pirates to beat AmaZulu 2-0 at Loftus Stadium. “Malajila came to our rescue,” Mosimane says.
“He is fighting for his position and everybody must fight for their position. Normally I play with two strikers but when Surprise [Moriri] is around you know the story. When Surprise plays, Sundowns plays.
“There is limited space up-front; [Katlego] Mashego is fighting with Mame Niang as well as Malajila. But Mala was a hawk [on Sunday]. He was pouncing.
“Mala is only interested in scoring … he doesn’t care about the play and all that. He is typical striker, a fox in the box.” — kickoff.
