A HATCLIFFE Extension man became so obsessed with raping his niece he would, at times, do it FIVE times a day.
He has since been nabbed and has appeared in court.
The incidents took place in August when Obert Murakwani’s wife had gone to the rural areas.
She left the niece with her husband in their rented one room.
The State said one day Murakwani came back home and found his niece packing clothes, and he asked her to sit on his lap.
He fondled her breasts and raped her.
It is said Murakwani raped the woman on countless occasions, and would sometimes do it four times a day.
The woman decided to tell a friend who advised her to report to her aunt.
Meanwhile, an Epworth man appeared in court yesterday on accusations of raping a mentally challenged 13-year-old girl.
Talent Kadaurire (38) was advised to apply for bail at the High Court when he appeared before Harare magistrate Donald Ndiroweyi, who remanded him in custody to December 18.
Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje said the incident occurred sometime in January when Kadaurire lured the girl next to a maize field in Glenwood.
Kadaurire told her that he wanted to give her money, but she refused.
He then asked her to have sex with him and was again turned down.
He then dragged her into the maize field and raped her once.
