Man beats up mother and strips her naked for hating his wife

A 23-year-old man from Lower Gweru, Midlands Province has been cuffed for domestic violence after allegedly assaulting his mother with an iron rod while drunk.
In a shocking display of drunken rage, the accused went home on 18 November 2024, and attacked his mother, accusing her of hating his wife.
The accused made a chilling threat to behead his mother before brutally assaulting her with an iron rod, striking her on the eye, forehead, and multiple areas of her body.
As she attempted to flee, he further humiliated her by stripping her naked.
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said, “The complainant was rescued by neighbours after she screamed. The complainant sustained a cut on the forehead and swollen left eye.”
The accused person was convicted on the charge and was remanded in custody to 13 December.
