A Texas attorney, who claimed he will ultimately represent more than 100 accusers who plan to file civil suits against Sean “Diddy” Combs alleging crimes including sexual assault, rape and sexual abuse of minors, updated a lawsuit he filed in October to accuse rapper Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old allegedly along with Combs in the year 2000—as Carter called the allegations “idiotic” and strongly denied them.
A lawsuit filed on October 20—where an Alabama woman alleged she was 13 years old in 2000 when Combs and another male celebrity repeatedly raped her while a female celebrity watched during an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty—was updated on Sunday. The updated suit accuses music mogul and rapper Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, of raping the girl allegedly along with Combs. In a statement issued on Sunday evening, Carter called the allegations “idiotic,” and alleged Texas attorney Tony Buzbee attempted to “blackmail” Carter. The statement added: “What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No, sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion.” In the statement, Carter said his heart and support go out “to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”
