A woman claims her husband assaults her while naked claiming that he will be casting out her demons.
Liam Vejeri dragged her husband Munyaradzi Muguya to the Harare Civil Court accusing him of emotionally and physically abusing her in front of their children.
Vejeri sought a protection order against Munyaradzi
“My husband assaults me every day, he claims I have demons.
“I am tired of being assaulted and each time he assaults while l am naked in front of our children.
“He is traumatising our children since they always see me naked. I am in desperate need of the court’s protection because l am scared, he will kill me.
“I can’t leave my marriage, I have nowhere to go, l am an orphan”, Vejeri said while shedding tears.
Munyaradzi claimed his wife has been behaving in strange ways and used minimum force to calm her down.
“Yes, we have our own misunderstandings just like any other married couple, but she has anger issues.
“I love her but sometimes she acts like she is possessed, and I am only trying to make her behave like a normal person and not a psycho.
“I have no objections in her being granted the protection order,” said Munyaradzi
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Vejeri a protection order and refrained Munyaradzi from verbally abusing or assaulting her.
