A 31-YEAR-OLD man dragged his stepmother to court, accusing her of attempting to evict him from his father’s house.
Tatenda Zvavamwe said he was bitter with his stepmother Faith Antonio’s attempts to bar him from staying at the family house.
He also applied for a protection order citing verbal and emotional abuse.
However, presiding magistrate Rutendo Machingura, dismissed Tatenda’s protection order application, for lack of merit.
Tatenda had claimed his stepmother was cruel.
“My stepmother sent me away from my father’s house.
“I am now 31-years-old, but she does not want to see me near my father’s house.
“My father cannot do anything because he is being threatened with death, as well, if he takes any step,” he said.
Faith said Tatenda wasn’t telling the truth.
“How come he is accusing me of sending him away yet I have not been staying with him?
“He has been visiting us as a son.
“All along, he was staying with his mother.
“His father sent him away because of drugs.
“Your worship, I cannot continue maintaining a 31-year-old yet my 25-year-old child is now working and looking after himself.”
