Man crashed to death by dumper truck

A DUMP truck crashed a group of builders working on an underground construction site in Norton after it lost its brakes and rolled down to where they were working.

Two injured men were taken to hospital, where one of them (name withheld) was pronounced dead on arrival. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when a truck that was reversing to dump mixed concrete lost its brakes and the driver lost control.

It rolled where the builders were working, crashing them against the wall. Two sustained serious head and upper body injuries.
