Manyaya demanded to know Tsiga’s identity and what he wanted from him. The court heard that this resulted in a heated argument leading to Tsiga charging towards him and assaulting him.
Prosecutor Mr Lovet Muringwa alleges that Tsiga left the place and came back after a few minutes armed with a knife that he used to stab him on the chest.
It is further alleged that after committing the offence, Tsiga took to his heels.
Manyaya started bleeding profusely and was ferried to Chitungwiza Central Hospital by his brother.
He reported the matter to the police leading to Tsiga’s arrest.
Appearing before Chitungwiza magistrate, Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini, Tsiga was not asked to plead to attempted murder.
He was remanded in custody to April 12 and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
