A MIDDLE-AGED man was on Monday morning found dead at the new green market at Checheche Growth Point.

Police in Chisumbanje said they are yet to identify the deceased.

The cause of his death is not yet known.

Residents who spoke to The Manica Post yesterday said the man was last seen on Sunday evening dead drunk.

He was taking highly intoxicating undiluted illicit beers, they added.

His body was taken to St Peter’s Mission Hospital for post mortem.

Chipinge District police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Jowert Kamera, confirmed the incident and said they are working with members of the public to locate the deceased’s next of kin.
