Man in court for threatening to kill father

A 32-YEAR-OLD man from Pumula South, Bulawayo appeared before the Western Commonage Magistrates Court after allegedly threatening to kill his father.

Handsome Moyo appeared before regional magistrate Vikai Douglas Chikwekwe facing one count of physical abuse.

He pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody to 11 November 2024 for sentencing.

The court heard that on 31 October 2024 at around noon the accused became violent and verbally assaulted his father.

It was heard that after verbally assaulting his father, he went to the kitchen and retrieved a knife which he used to threaten to kill his father with.

The matter came to light when the father reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of the accused.
