A 20-YEAR-OLD man was jailed 10 years for sodomising a 16-year-old boy.
The unnamed man and the 10-year-old were herding cattle. The accused violently assaulted the 16-year-old complainant, grabbing his hand, pulling him down, and forcibly removing their trousers. He then proceeded to sexually violate the complainant.
Following the alleged assault, the complainant sought refuge with his father, disclosing the horrific details. The father took swift action, filing a police report that resulted in the accused’s apprehension
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said on 24 August 2 the accused person and the complainant were both in the grazing lands separately herding their animals when the accused person grabbed the 16-year-old complainant’s hand and forced him down.
“He forcefully brought the complainant’s trousers down, took his trousers down before he violated the complainant. After the act, the accused person ordered the complainant to go and look for his bull. The complainant went and narrated his ordeal to his father, who made a police report, leading to the arrest of the accused person”,
“The accused person was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment,” said NPAZ
