A HARARE man has been jailed for six years after being convicted of seven counts of unlawful entry.
Venenicia Shoko (43) was found guilty when he appeared before Harare magistrate Noticia Shenje.
Initially, magistrate Shenje slapped Shoko with nine years before setting aside three years on condition of good behaviour.
Six years will be effective.
It is the State’s case that on February 16 in Epworth, Shoko trespassed into Elias Magudu’s premises and stole property.
In the same month, Shoko is said to have unlawfully entered Emmanuel Chinyanisi’s house and stole property.
It is also the State’s case that between February 28 and July 30, Shoko broke down the door of Constant Mutembedza’s premises and stole property.
The total value of the stolen property was $259 166 and $94 415 was recovered.
