A BULAWAYO City Council worker yesterday stunned a court when he said a sangoma instructed him to put a live bullet in his body lotion to prevent sudden death in his family.
Percy Chigora, 29, of Waterford suburb told the court that he sourced the bullet in South Africa following advice by the inyanga.
Chigora appeared before magistrate Tinashe Tashaya facing a charge of possessing a bullet without a firearms certificate.
“I admit that I was found in possession of the bullet. I got it in South Africa after a witchdoctor instructed each of my family members to put bullets in our body lotions. We got the instruction after the death of my brother who was shot by armed robbers,” he said.
Magistrate Tashaya fined Chigora $40 or 30 days imprisonment.
