A DZIVARESEKWA man was allegedly killed by a neighbour he had lent some money.
Moses Nkhulungo went to demand his US$6 from his neighbour, Gift Jamu, at around 9pm last Saturday. Gift did not take Moses’ demands well and shoved him violently to the ground.
Moses fell headlong on the tarred road and lost consciousness as he bled from his mouth and nose. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, and Gift was arrested. Gift appeared in court yesterday facing a murder charge. Magistrate Dennis Mangosi remanded him in custody. He advised him to approach the High Court for bail application as his court had no powers to grant bail for a third schedule offence. He will be back in court on March 16.
Zebedia Bofu appeared for the State.
