A man from Ntabazinduna area in Matabeleland North Province nearly lost his privates to his neighbouras four vicious dogs which he set upon him after he suspected him of having an affair with his wife.

It is reported that Emmanuel Khumalo from Mafanisa Line sustained serious injuries on his groin area and thighs after his neighbour Thamsanqa Mdlongwa set his dogs on him during an altercation.

Reports are that on 29 August Mdlongwa and Khumalo were at a community water tank with other villagers when Mdlongwa who had long suspected that the latter was having a sexual relationship with his wife called himA saying he wanted to have a private conversation with him.

The unsuspecting Khumalo reportedly agreed before they moved a few metres away from the other villagers.

It is reported that during the private conversation, Mdlongwa started accusing Khumalo of having an affair with his wife. Mdlongwa reportedly discovered the affair after he stumbled upon a string of love texts which Khumalo was sending his wife.

As a result of the accusations a misunderstanding ensued leading to a seething Mdlongwa to forcibly grab his rival by the neck and subsequently dip his head once in the water tank.

As if that was not enough, he went on to hit him several times on the face with fists before he set his four dogs on him. The dogs viciously chomped him down leading him to sustain severe injuries on his thighs and genitals.

The matter was reported to the police leading to MdlongwaasA arrest. For the offence he was brought before Bulawayo magistrate Sheunesu Matova who was sitting at Mbembesi Circuit Court.

Mdlongwa pleaded guilty to the offence and was convicted and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment of which three months were suspended on condition of good behaviour. A remainder of nine months was also suspended on condition that he completes 315 hours of community service at ZRP Ntabazinduna.
