Man Lures Job Seeker With False Promises, Rapes Her Four Times

A chilling case of rape has unfolded in Hatfield, Harare, where a 40-year-old man, Piason Nyahoda, allegedly lured a 44-year-old job seeker into Hatfield Hall with promises of employment, only to rape her four times.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest, stating: “Police have arrested an Epworth man for raping a job seeker in Hatfield.”

According to Inspector Chakanza, the victim was assisting the owner of a saloon at Kilwinning Shopping Centre when Nyahoda entered, claiming that a company was hiring workers.

The victim expressed interest, and Nyahoda took her to Hatfield Hall, where the horrific crime occurred.

Inspector Chakanza recounted the events, saying: “The accused person entered the saloon and told the complainant that there was a company looking for workers… Upon arrival, the accused person raped her four times without protection.”

After the assault, the victim returned to the saloon, where she reported the abuse, leading to Nyahoda’s arrest.

Inspector Chakanza’s statement concluded: “After the act, the complainant dressed up and returned to the saloon where she revealed the abuse leading to arrest of the suspect.” (-Hmetro)
