A GRADE 6 pupil was raped three times on the same day after she entered the room of a co-tenant to charge a cellphone in Kuwadzana.
Shadreck Matara, 27, was on Sunday arrested when a neighbour informed the mother about the pupil’s visit to the room of the co-tenant.
The mother confronted her daughter and she disclosed the rape.
She then confronted Shadreck and he apologised.
She reported the case to the police, leading to Shadreck’s arrest.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest.
“Police arrested a Kuwadzana man for raping his co-tenant’s daughter.
“The matter came to light when a neighbour texted the complainant’s mother informing her to stop the complainant from entering the accused’s room.
“The complainant was escorted to Sally Mugabe Hospital for medical examinations,” said Insp Chakanza.
